Will hurricanes influence the election more than Palin?

We're about to see massive destruction from a class 3 hurricane hitting the Texas coast.  The press will begin to talk (again) about global warming possibly being a factor.  Should we have one or two more of these climatic beasts hit our coasts during this season, global warming just may become an important election issue, sorry to say that what it takes.
