Great Lakes Burning River Fest

Long Description: Saturday, August 15th 4-11 PM Historic Coast Guard Station (located at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River on Whiskey Island) Every August, people from all over the Great Lakes region raise a pint at the annual Burning River Fest to salute the "watershed moment" that raised a new level of eco-consciousness - the 1969 burning of the Cuyahoga River. In recognition of the river's 40th "rebirth-day," 2009's party will feature live music, food from local and organic farms and eateries, and, naturally, Great Lakes Brewing Company beer.
