Campbell, California

Hi. Welcome to my neighborhood.   Sitting next to San Jose in the Silicon Valley, the town of Campbell is experiencing a renaissance.   The main drag, Campbell Avenue has a very active restaurant and bar scene, and plays host to numerous festivals all year.  The town plaza has free music on Thursdays during the summer and the remodeled Heritage Center has world-class entertainment.

What makes Campbell green?  Well, there are recycling bins at all events. There are pollution-free bicycle cabbies at the events to shuttle you. There are free electric vehicle charging stations in the public parking lot.  The local trash collection service provides a large ‘everything’ recycling container (for paper, metals, glass, and recyclable plastics) and charges for the size of the ‘regular’ trash container.  Most people opt for the smallest size (20 gallons).  On Sunday, there is a fantastic Farmer’s Market where you buy locally grown, organic produce and listen to live music.  You can also buy a Smart Car here or take the light rail to Mountain View, San Jose or Santa Clara.  In San Jose, you can conect to Cal Trains and visit San Francisco.
