Global warming is an average increase in the earth’s overall temperature. Increased temperatures affect climate and human dependence on earth’s resources. The enormous increase in
greenhouse gasses (GHGs) since the beginning of the industrial age is believed to be the causation of increasing global warming. Without a global effort to quickly reverse the trend, the potential for food shortages, wars over water, and displaced habitats is, unfortunately, not only possible, but likely.
